During dental cleaning, bacteria in your mouth can be disturbed and may enter your bloodstream. This can pose a risk of infection, especially in areas affected by recent surgery, treatment, or vulnerable organs.

We recommend regular visits to the hygienist, with the exact frequency depending on personal preference as well as the condition of your teeth. If you have recently had significant dental treatment (such as having implants fitted) then additional hygiene appointments are recommended. Your dentist will advise you on this.
Establishing a good daily hygiene routine is essential for keeping your teeth and gums in good condition. We strongly advise brushing teeth two times a day, as well as carefully cleaning between them with floss or an interdental brush at least once a day.
